So the application for 60 houses at Raleigh Drive was APPROVED by Elmbridge Planning last night, even though Cllr Collon of Claygate Parish Council gave EBC perfectly good reasons for opposing the application based on the grounds of urban sprawl already mentioned at the last meeting on the topic.

EBC did not listen preferring to side with the opinion of one of their officers and were more concerned about the possibility of an appeal and being saddled with costs!

When will EBC realise that they are being given perfectly good grounds for refusal of these applications and start listening to their electorate and the Claygate Parish Council? Two of our EBC councillors (Mike Rollings and Alex Coomes) supported this, with only one voting against (Mary Marshall).
